Location:
The Barbados Beach Club is situated in Christ Church on the island's south
coast and approximately 20 minutes transfer from the
airport. The Barbados Beach Club stands right beside a white
sandy beach and there is a small selection of shops, bars and
restaurants nearby.
Facilities:
Formerly known as the Welcome
Inn, The Barbados Beach Club has just reopened after major renovations.
There is a freeform swimming pool surrounded by a sun terrace which
overlooks the beach and the blue waters of the Caribbean.
If cooling off in the ocean is too much like hard work, then a cocktail or two from the pool-bar
should do the trick. Alternatively there are 2 other bars to
choose from. The poolside restaurant features buffet style
breakfasts and lunches as well as buffet or á la carte dinners.
For more formal dining, the Sea Rocks restaurant opens for dinner only,
serving international seafood cuisine twice weekly (a charge is made for
lobster dishes). There is also an Italian restaurant.
Swimwear is not allowed in the restaurants and the dress code for dinner
in the Sea Rocks and the Italian restaurant is casual but elegant.
Afternoon tea is served daily.
Daytime activities include tennis, use of golf driving nets and games
room, mini-golf, pool aerobics, use of the gymnasium, windsurfing,
snorkelling, Hobie cat cruises, kayaking paddle boating, boogie boarding
and scuba diving lessons in the pool.
A weekly rum punch cruise and picnic, with snorkelling, is arranged (local payable
charge). For the evening there is weekly entertainment and weekly Managers rum
punch party.
Rooms:
Superior
feature twin beds, are air conditioned and have bathroom, hair
dryer, satellite TV, balcony or patio and garden or pool view.
Deluxe have the same
facilities except that the beds are doubles and some rooms have
sea-views.
Super Deluxe are the same as
Deluxe except that there is one King size or queen size bed.
Opinion:
Barbados
Beach Club really does represent superb 'All-Inclusive' value for money.
